Thirty private acres on the highest point in Middle Tennessee, one hour east of Nashville, far enough to forget the city. Short Mountain Holiday is a small collection of geodesic domes built for rest, reconnection, and the kind of quiet that stays with you long after you leave.
Each dome is designed around the view. A full kitchen and a custom king bed, which doubles as a couch by day, both face the ridge. Outside, a private hot tub, gas fire pit, and chairs positioned for the long view, whether the sun's up or the stars have taken over.
Two domes are open now: South Cove and North Ridge. A third, East Hill, is on its way, alongside a Nordic spa with sauna, cold plunge, and a heated rest pool. The rest is yours. Follow along on Instagram to watch our newest dome and Nordic spa come to life, built by the Sannan family.
THE DOMES
The original dome. A custom king bed with panoramic views, a Smart TV that emerges from a motorized cabinet, and a loft with two twin beds that push together into a king.
The second dome. A custom king bed with the same panoramic views, a smart projector that turns the room into a private home theater, and a plush queen mattress in the loft.
All Domes Include
Your own hot tub with mountain views. Morning coffee or midnight stars, your call.
Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ridgeline. The king bed, kitchen, hot tub, and fire pit area are all purposely built around the view, it's the centerpiece of everything.
Convection cooktop/griddle, fridge with ice, toaster oven, and a Nespresso with pods & sugar, plus pots, pans, and everything you need to cook. No traditional oven or microwave.
We hope you don't need it, but fiber internet and full cell service are here if you do.
Settle into an Adirondack rocker and watch the fire. No wood to split, no smoke to dodge.
Full-size grill with prep area. Cook outside with a view.
Custom king bed positioned for panoramic views. Doubles as a couch during the day.
Full HVAC, heat and air conditioning. Comfortable in every season.

Micah & Amber
Hi, we're Micah and Amber. We're the owners, managers, builders, and concierges here at Short Mountain Holiday, and it all started with a simple pull: to get out from behind the screens and build something real with our hands, together as a family.
We created this place an hour from the city for people who feel that same pull, a chance to step away, slow down, and reconnect with nature the way we've come to love it. Every detail, from the domes to the views to the quiet, was chosen with that in mind. We live in Nashville, but you'll often find us up at the cabin on the hill on weekends, and we're always just a quick text away if you need anything during your stay.
We can't wait to host you.
